<lj:music>the Rolling Stones - Live With Me</lj:music>

So.
the Stones are coming. AGAIN.
It sort of makes me feel like a spoiled brat for whining so much about it last year.. but hey, I got showered with Mick Jagger saliva!

Okay, not showered. It was like, a drop. but STILL. I could've had him cloned.

Not to mention Aerosmith is coming AGAIN. This time with the Crue of course. WOW. When did Glendale become such a hotspot for concerts? More importantly.. why not Tucson?!
Oh well. I can't complain. This.. is.. awesome.

OH! So.. school. Ech. Same deal, really. They've split one huge lunch into two, which makes it kinda lonely at times. But Cristina's still with me, so that's alright. Oh, and I met this cool freshman chick, even though she's got freshman germs. Oh well. She likes Zeppelin! ahaha. I'm taking all advanced classes.. and all my teachers are either super hyper or super creepy. Well, that's high school for ya.
I've made a bunch of new friends.. it's amazing what one summer can do to ya. It can completely destroy your confidense and self-esteem, only to build it up into something bigger and better than what it's ever been. Iiiinteresting.

Mmmm. Cheesequake Blizzards at Dairy Queen are the shit.
By the way, both concerts are on a school night. Yippee.

As is today!
Ergh. It feels so weird waking up at 5:30am, as opposed to going to sleep at that time! Hah. [and it's not speaking in the third person! ehehehe.]

Well, it's not so much an obsession as an.. amazement. Nick Simmons.
That's son of Gene Simmons. Not Richard Simmons.. just in case.
Glad he hasn't got his father's good looks!

Wheww. If you've seen A&E's "Gene Simmons' Family Jewels", you may know what I'm talking about. It's sort of hard to explain. He's soo funny, but that's no excuse for me finding myself giggling like a little girl at everything he said. ahaha. It's funny, because he sort of looks like this guy that's been confusing me over the past three months, and sort of reminds me of him, except this guy is like, funny, and I can actually comprehend what he's saying.. it's a long story folks. The point is, man.. shit. What's the point..?

I dunno. All I know is.. I've got a new crush. <lj:music>David Bowie - Starman</lj:music>

Hello darlings. I'm attempting to keep up with this whole "I'm-back" deal, but it's sort of hard when the summer's such a drag, y'know?

Yeah well. Updates.
Last Saturday I visited this record shop that's been advertised all over the place.. the place was small and there were like, three customers there. But everything there is in amazing condition. FINALLY I picked a vinyl copy of the White Album, which was nearly new and costed $35, making it the most expensive piece of music I own! That, plus England's Newest Hitmakers and some others, all under $80. hah. And all a birthday present from my father, apparently. hmph.
Alright. So. I have absolutely no idea which classes I'll be taking next year. The birds in the business office lost the schedule I'd made up.. or something lame like that. That's Tucson public school for ya, I guess. Though I can't say my complaining is justified. I chose this over private school. Ohhh well.
Arrgh. In the past week, I turned an 8-year-old on to the Beatles, and my friend Cameo, who had never even heard "Light My Fire," on to the Doors, and Bowie. And yes, I'm proud. heh.
So this boy.. ergh. I can't even put into words.. too.. confusing!

Ermm, Cristina and I have been jamming a lot lately, and I'm impressed.. that she can actually play in front of me now. teehee. Now I can actually play at a guitar concert instead of getting kicked out of one!
Other than that[?] it's a bore.

So, if you want to keep me updated to-the-second on how life's treating you, feel free to drop a line. =D

rocksecret is the most entertainment I've gotten out of livejournal since finding Keith Moon's lj!

He bit a kid on the 4th of July, but he was provoked, I tell you. Provoked!

I've been in and out of groundings at least three times this summer. I can't help but screw up. The lack of nothing to do, paired with the extreme summer Arizona heat, y'know? [excuses, excuses, Isabella.]

I can almost say that Wolfmother are a godsend.

Icon-making has partially saved me from summer psychosis. I'll upload those later.

My Zeppelin DVD is GONE! Somewhat my fault, though.

No longer do I wish my life were anything like Dazed and Confused. Haha, oh man. That ship has definitely sailed... maybe.

Go see POTC2! I've seen it twice already. I'm a slave to Disney magic!

In the past month-and-a-half, I've spent at least a hundred dollars on music, or music-related items. SCHOOL CLOTHES. Forgot about those!

Cristina's recent boy is, like, a chick. I've been playing messenger boy between the two of them. I must say.. he whines. A lot.

The Chili Peppers are coming! Well yeahh. Near my birthday, too. Unfortunately...

I'll be in California near my birthday. Yes, indeed!

I like watching Panic! At the Disco videos on mute. Or sometimes not on mute. Hey, I don't hate them!

abcdefghijklmnopqRACONTEURS.

Arrgh, mateys. myspace.

I haven't heard from most of you in quite a while.. <lj:music>The Beatles - We Can Work It Out</lj:music>

I'm ALLLIIIIVE. Sort of. I've come back to share a dilemma with you all.

So, there's this chick, a very close friend of mine. She told me a couple of weeks ago that her boyfriend was starting a band, and they wanted me to join as a bassist. I told her I'd think about it. Apparently, she took that as a yes, and last week started telling me all this stuff.. like, "We're having band practice on Saturday, and I'll call you, and I can't believe you're excited about this, and you're obligated blah blah blah." I was like.. okay, that's really messed up. I didn't agree to anything. And then she tells me that 'we' are booked for a show. You see, the problem is, this chick plays--or wants to play, I've been avoiding her little 'practices'--crap. I mean, it's stuff I really, really hate. I mean, emo stuff. And I'd do the show and everything I guess, if she really convinced me, but she wants me to be in this long-term. I talked to a friend that said it's alright and bands are trading members all the time, but she doesn't see it that way. She wants me in her band for a while. I'd do the show, but I don't want her to think that means I've agreed to stick with her. I mean, I've got this whole thing with Cristina going and we play all the time; we just haven't got a drummer. So no, I don't want to be in it long term if I'm not going to really be involved, y'know? The thing is, this chick's a good friend, and I don't want to really piss her off or anything (not really, because I'm pretty sure that whatever decision I make is gonna piss her off somewhat).

So yyeeaahhh...
I pretty much just wanted to vent.

Oh yeah, and we're playing "Norwegian Wood" at our orchestra concert. =D

Hmm.. well, Cristina went to see Aerosmith on the 1st. Lucky. No, I didn't go, but she's much more deserving than I, 'cause she's pretty much a freak when it comes to Aerosmith. That's alright; I saw the Stones, if you'll recall. Heh heh.

Speaking of the Stones.. Yeah, the Super Bowl. God, that was amazing. Especially that bit before they came on with all those clips and such.. And the "Super Bowl I" joke, heh. Yes, I know, it was long ago, but wasn't it great? Yes, indeed it was.

Hmm.. I got a new dog.. what else? I've purchased a few more albums, I'm getting a Telecaster..
New URLs. Weeeird.

So, in short, this week was... uneventful. Though I'm still somewhat ill, and I think I might have pinkeye (but what else is new?), I did purchase some "new" music, if you consider albums on CD that I've already got on vinyl "new" (as you might recall, my vinyl vopy of Led Zeppelin II is realllyy scratched).

Aandd... this boy, who I've not mentioned so much as I wanted to because I don't think any of you, my dear LJ friends, should hear my awful, stupid giddyness... played at the pep assembly today. With this band that's so amazing. But no one was listening. Some people get so competitive over that spirit stick, it's frightening, I swear. Not to mention it gets me really pissed off. [High school's funny.]

OOH. And I might get a Telecaster (tomorrow). YIPPEE.
For all of you who described your Stones experiences in such enormous detail, kudos. Because I simply can't find the words to describe how... well, amazing it was. But...

I GOT WET WITH MICK'S SALIVA OH YES.
:D

I had no idea what our seats were going to be like, due to the fact that my dad had been hiding the tickets from my mum. Haha. I actually thought they were going to be crap. They weren't front row, but they actually seemed closer. We were right at the side of the stage--right there. As the pretty middle-aged lady with red hair and cat-eye glasses put it, we were "close enough to see Wood's wood!" XD

But man. They came on about an hour after Jason Mraz (yes, it was that kid) finished his set, and as soon as I heard that "boom", I nearly died. And then the opening riff of "Start Me Up", followed by a sexy, sexy Mick running out on stage.

And then coming to our side. And staying there. For a long, long time. Enough for me to stare in awe--for a long, long time. Eventually I got sprayed with the remaining contents of Mick's water bottle. OH MY. It was.. erm.. refreshing. :D

Mick's quote in the Arizona Republic: "It’s great to be here in Phoenix, Glendale, Scottsdale – too many ‘Dales’..."
Hehehe.

The whole thing was unbelievable. I must have pinched myself about fifteen times.
I went crazy during the encore.

Man, I love you all.
♥♥

In case you're interested...
Set list:

Start Me Up
You Got Me Rocking
She's So Cold
Tumbling Dice
Oh No Not You Again
Rain Fall Down
Angie
Rocks Off
Night Time is The Right Time
Slipping Away
Infamy
Miss You
Rough Justice
Get Off of My Cloud
Honky Tonk Women
Sympathy For the Devil
Brown Sugar
Jumpin' Jack Flash

Encore:

You Can't Always Get What You Want
(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction

Hm. Three weeks with this layout and already I'm getting sick of it.

I just spent forever and an hour on a short story for English, which I was supposed to send to my teacher on Thursday. The problem is, I write too flippin' much. You know, none of my teachers ever specified just how long a short story can be until it's no longer considered a short story, but I'm pretty sure 3,924 words isn't exactly "short".

So..there's a boy. And I can't figure him out. It usually takes me a few hours to figure someone out...not three months. He's driving me absolutely crazy.

So anyway. I went to the football game yesterday...and we lost. Durn. I'm actually going to miss going to football games, and having pixie-stick and skittle-eating contests.... oh yeah. That was great.

Linda, I do hope all is going well with your mum.

Aand.. eight days till the Stones. <lj:music>Steppenwolf - The Pusher</lj:music>

Major friends cut just now, due to the excessive amount of space my friends list took up on my userinfo page. Hah. Chances are, if you had the Beatles anywhere on your page, you weren't cut, because you guys are really freakin' awesome. You know who you are.

You were cut if:

You haven't updated since at least August

All you write about is your overwhelming drama

Linda made me add you

You've never commented on my journal/I've never commented on yours

I've never read your journal

Your journal bores me (Heh heh)

Your journal consists of way too many confusing inside jokes, therefore rendering your journal impossible for me to understand

Your name had the word 'emo' in it and you haven't updated since 2003

You've completely converted to mySpace-ism

...And you were an absolute must-keep if:

I'm constantly reading your journal

We share at least five interests

You make icons and I'm mooching off you ;)

I simply love you.

So, to the rest of you, congratulations. You made it through Isabella's Unmerciful Friends Cut, v. 1.0!

    <lj:music>AFI - Halloween</lj:music>

You know... this was originally a Misfits song... but AFI's really not a bad band. Or maybe my sister's just ground them into me enough to admit that.

Alright, it's Halloween. Hoo-ray. I used to love Halloween when I was a wee lass. I'd wait the whole year for it. Now it's just a day in the year, and even though I love my candy, I've realized that it is simply a circular device used to benefit the sugar and dental industries.

Which is why I'm going bag-snatching! Just kidding.

So anyway, Cristina, who was a homecoming nominee, dressed up as a naughty nun, and it's the most ironic thing I've ever seen in my life. If she were any less faithful, she'd nearly be atheist. Kidding.

So... 27 days till I go see the Stones. Oh man. The more days go by, the more first-hand accounts I hear of the shows, and the more wet I get. Holy crap. I can't flippin' wait much longer.

And all this to mask my guy troubles. Anyone else having guy troubles?

Erhh, it's just one of those reminds-you-of-6th-grade crushes that get you all depressed and into a "Why-doesn't-he-like-me?" stage. I don't even think he knows my name, so it's really nothing to worry about. Besides... the Stones. I've obviously got more important things to think about. 'Guy troubles.' Pssh.

Off to watch How the West Was Won... I'm in the mood. :D

One more thing ...

My LiveJournal Trick-or-Treat Haul

isabellahelsing goes trick-or-treating, dressed up as a stewardess.

_toysintheattic gives you 16 dark blue cola-flavoured wafers.

danielle1989 gives you 14 mauve lime-flavoured jawbreakers.

imonlysleeping9 tricks you!
So... I made a new layout. It's another simple, cheesy, cliché nostalgia design, just like my last one, and if you're not catching on the last was '60s themed while this one is '70s. It was time for a change, though I can't really say this one's much better. I was only half-paying attention to what I was doing when I was changing the colours, so if you find anything screwy that hurts your eyes... tell me.

Peace.
